Just performed my new suite for the Dylan Thomas Centenary for the second time with Iain Ballamy. Steve Watts and Martin France. Last nights performance in the Powis Hall, Bangor followed on from the premiere at Brecon Cathedral last august.

Brazilian music has always been an important facet of Huw Warren’s musical life-previous projects include ‘Hermeto Plus’  the 2009 recording on Basho, and his work with Neapolitan singer Maria Pia de Vito transforming the work of Guinga and Chico Buarque. With this new trio he explores the groove heavy lyricism of music by Hermeto Pascoal, Guinga, Tom Jobim, Egberto Gismonti, Joyce as well as some Warren originals .

A solo piano concert with a difference, taking themes from early music, jazz, romantic piano music, folk music, world music and more! Huw Warren has performed solo in a variety of settings from international Jazz festivals and concert halls to local music societies; transforming and entertaining audiences along the way.His solo piano album Infinite Riches in a Little Room was the Guardian CD of the week in 2002 and is available to listen in its entirety here
