Hi Everyone,

Really great to see live music and events slowly returning over the summer, and also to see the really deep and meaningful audience response.

I have some performances and gigs to share over the next couple of months!

First up (for my North Wales friends),I’m doing a series of Sunday lunchtime solo gigs at Caernarfon’s newest venue The Old Courthouse, starting September 19th. Food is from 12 and music from 1pm. Come and check it out: the food’s great and its a lovely informal vibe.

Wednesday October 20th Art Themen Quartet

Art Themen Saxophone
Huw Warren Piano
Riaan Vosloo Bass
Tony Orrell Drums

Bristol Music Club, Clifton, Bristol UK

Always such a pleasure to play with Art – one of the
elder statesmen of the British Jazz scene, but still super creative on the bandstand. Also, Art was playing (with the Stan Tracey Quartet) at my very first jazz gig in 1976, so I can always joke that if it hadn’t been for him, maybe I wouldn’t be doing this now!!

New Projects….

I have a couple of new recordings that I’ll be able to share more of with you very soon…
Firstly a beautiful Plygain project with singer and violinist Angharad Jenkins. For those of you that don’t know, Plygain is a Welsh language Christmas tradition specific to mid Wales; with some very beautiful and almost medieval melodies.
Also been recording with my longtime friend and collaborator Iain Ballamy. We have a substantial new project (maybe a double CD) to share with you soon.

More news on both of these in the coming weeks!

CDs Books and Scores
Just to remind you that info on all of these is available from my website
Cd’s are all £10 plus postage

Hope to see you out there!
